Please read these terms carefully before using the GeneAI platform. By registering an account or using any part of our service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About GeneAI
GeneAI Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. We operate a digital platform that coordinates genomic analysis services between patients in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and accredited genomic laboratories in the United Kingdom.
IMPORTANT: GeneAI is an information and coordination service. We are not a medical device, clinical laboratory, or healthcare provider. We do not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. Nothing on this platform, including AI-assisted genomic interpretation reports, should be construed as medical advice.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By creating a GeneAI account, accessing the platform, or submitting a service request, you confirm that:
You have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
You are at least 18 years of age. GeneAI does not provide services to persons under 18 years old. Services for minors may only be arranged by a parent or legal guardian on their behalf, in which case the parent or guardian accepts these terms and bears full responsibility.
You are accessing the service from a jurisdiction where use of GeneAI is lawful. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with the laws of your country of residence.
You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
3. The Service
What GeneAI Does
Coordinates genomic sample collection through accredited GCC partner laboratories.
Arranges anonymised transport of samples to accredited UK genomic analysis laboratories.
Facilitates AI-assisted interpretation of genomic analysis results.
Delivers informational genomic reports to registered users through the secure platform.
Provides optional coordination of specialist referrals, subject to your separate consent and approval for each referral.
Maintains a secure, encrypted platform for managing your case and data.
What GeneAI Does NOT Do
Provide medical diagnoses of any kind.
Prescribe, recommend, or suggest specific medical treatments or interventions.
Replace clinical consultation with a qualified, licensed healthcare professional.
Guarantee any specific therapeutic or health outcome.
Perform genomic analysis directly (this is performed by our accredited laboratory partners).
Provide emergency medical services. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
4. AI-Assisted Outputs
GeneAI uses artificial intelligence to assist in the interpretation of genomic analysis results. You must understand the following before using any AI-assisted output:
Pattern recognition, not clinical determination: AI outputs are the product of pattern-recognition algorithms trained on genomic datasets. They are not clinical determinations, medical diagnoses, or professional medical opinions.
Informational only: All reports generated by GeneAI are clearly labelled "For Informational Purposes Only." This label is not decorative — it reflects the true status and limitations of the output.
Human review: All AI-assisted reports undergo a human review step before delivery. However, reviewers are not providing individual medical advice — they are reviewing the report for coherence, accuracy relative to laboratory data, and appropriate caveating.
Clinical decisions rest elsewhere: Any clinical decision — including whether to seek further investigation, begin or change treatment, or take any health-related action — must be made by you in consultation with a qualified, licensed healthcare professional. GeneAI expressly disclaims responsibility for any clinical decision made in reliance on our reports.
No warranty of clinical accuracy: GeneAI does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for clinical purpose of any AI-assisted output. Genomic science is an evolving field; interpretations may change as knowledge advances.
5. User Responsibilities
As a user of GeneAI, you agree to:
Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information when registering and submitting your medical history. Inaccurate information may affect the quality of your genomic interpretation.
Maintain the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at security@geneai.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
Not misrepresent your medical history, identity, or any other information relevant to your service request.
Seek qualified medical advice from a licensed healthcare professional before making any health-related decision based on information from this platform.
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction relating to the collection, transport, and analysis of biological samples.
Not use the platform for any unlawful purpose, or to facilitate the unlawful activities of others.
Not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or extract proprietary data from the platform.
6. Partner Obligations
GeneAI partner organisations (including GCC collection laboratories, UK analysis laboratories, and logistics providers) agree to the following upon execution of a Partner Agreement:
Maintain all relevant accreditations and regulatory approvals applicable to their activities at all times.
Comply strictly with GeneAI's Data Processing Agreement, including all data security requirements.
Never attempt to de-anonymise patient data. Partners receive only anonymised case codes and instructions — any attempt to identify the individual behind a code is a material breach of the Partner Agreement.
Report any suspected data breach to GeneAI's security team within 24 hours of discovery, regardless of the assessed severity.
Comply fully with GeneAI's chain-of-custody requirements for sample handling and transport.
Not subcontract any part of the GeneAI service to a third party without prior written consent from GeneAI.
7. Payment and Fees
Service fees are charged per the published price schedule, which is available on your account dashboard and at the time of service selection. Prices are displayed in the applicable currency and include applicable taxes where required.
Refund Policy
Full refund: Available if the service has not yet been initiated — that is, no sample collection appointment has been booked and no partner laboratory has been assigned.
Partial refund: Available if a sample has been collected but analysis has not yet been completed. The refund amount will reflect the proportion of the service not yet delivered, less any non-recoverable partner costs already incurred.
No refund: Once your genomic report has been delivered to your account, no refund is available.
Refund requests should be submitted to support@geneai.com. We will process all eligible refunds within 10 business days.
8. Intellectual Property
GeneAI's Intellectual Property
The GeneAI platform, its software architecture, AI models, report structures, scoring frameworks, branding, and all derived works are owned exclusively by GeneAI Ltd. Nothing in these terms grants you any rights to copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on GeneAI's intellectual property.
Your Content
Personal information, medical history, and other content you submit to the platform remains your property. By submitting content, you grant GeneAI a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to process that content solely for the purpose of delivering the services described in these terms. This licence terminates upon closure of your account, subject to applicable retention obligations.
AI Training Restriction
GeneAI will not use your personal data, health data, or genetic data to train, fine-tune, or otherwise improve AI models without your explicit, separate, informed consent. This consent is never bundled with service consent and is always optional.
9. Limitation of Liability
Maximum liability: GeneAI's maximum aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or the service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to GeneAI in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Excluded liabilities: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GeneAI shall not be liable for:
Any clinical decision made in reliance on reports or information provided by GeneAI.
Delays in service delivery caused by third-party logistics providers or partner laboratories.
Service unavailability due to force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, telecommunications failures, cyberattacks, or government-imposed restrictions.
Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, loss of business, or loss of anticipated savings.
The accuracy of genomic analysis performed by partner laboratories.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
10. Data and Privacy
The collection, processing, and protection of your personal and genetic data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. Your genetic data is processed as Special Category data under Article 9 UK GDPR, with explicit consent required for each processing scope. In the event of any conflict between these terms and the Privacy Policy regarding data rights, the Privacy Policy shall prevail.
11. Termination
By You
You may close your account at any time by contacting support@geneai.com or through your account settings. Closing your account does not automatically delete your data — please see our Privacy Policy for data retention obligations. Any fees for services already in progress at the time of account closure are not refundable under the no-refund stage.
By GeneAI
GeneAI may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these terms, suspected fraud, or if required by law. Where feasible without prejudicing our legal obligations, we will complete any active case before termination. Where termination occurs before case completion due to your breach, refund eligibility is determined at GeneAI's discretion.
12. Governing Law
These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
Where disputes relate to data protection matters, we encourage you to use the ICO's alternative dispute resolution service in the first instance. For all other disputes, the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms from time to time. For material changes — changes that affect your rights, introduce new obligations, or change the nature of the service — we will provide at least 30 days' notice by email to your registered address before the changes take effect.
Continued use of the GeneAI platform after the effective date of any updated terms constitutes your acceptance of those terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you must stop using the service and close your account before the effective date.
